Lust: Mickey’s Girl

I’m not the biggest fan of online shopping, but when I stumble upon a great site that completely fits my style, I get hooked, and that’s exactly how I felt the first time I checked out Mickey’s Girl.  I’m not sure how I even came across this website in the first place, but it’s AWESOME! This little online boutique has some truly great pieces that are VERY affordable! That’s like music to my ears. Check out their website, and follow them on Facebook and Twitter. They always post online when they have items back in stock and when great new ones come out! Here are some items I’m totally lusting after right now (all images from Mickey’s Girl website):

Crochet Dress: $44

Such a fun, summery, “going out” dress that could easily be transitioned into your fall wardrobe as well!

Turquoise Cut Out Tailor Blazer: $66

This is one of those great pieces that you can wear to work, and then wear out with just a simple switch of shoes, and maybe a change of makeup.

Pink Crochet Trim Layered Top: $38

I love tops like this that are so easy to wear. Just throw it on with some shorts or a skirt and you’ve got a perfect summer day time look.

Studded Mesh Monokini: $52

I’m a BIG fan of a monokini, and I especially love that this one is pretty edgy! HOT!

Green Bow Shorts: $42

ADORABLE.

Gold Metal Fringe Necklace: $28

I LOVE the way a big statement necklace looks with a simple button down. It’s an easy way to make a boring outfit interesting.

FAUX suede material! Love it!

Be sure to check out their page, and let me know if you find anything lust-worthy!

Lust: Summer Fashion Cravings

I’m so over this whole “winter” thing, and I can’t WAIT to get into some sundresses and sandals! Since it’s not quite warm enough (yes, not even in southern california 😦 ) I’ve been scouring the internet, obsessed with summer fashion. Here’s my current warm weather lust-list:

Ever since I saw this pic on Pinterest, I’ve been obsessing with this colorblocking look.

I also LOVE this all-over pastel look from asos.com

2. AMORE & SORVETE SWIMWEAR

I’m dying, yes, DYING to get my hands on one of these suits! The company is based out of Australia, and I haven’t been able to find much online. This is my favorite suit, the Bella Bikini:

Sadly, I can’t find it in this print ANYWHERE!! It was on asos and Urban Outfitters, but is now sold out. Amore & Sorvete, give us more!!

You can find the Bella Bikini in pink and black here on shopbob, as well as a few other styles.

3. EASY TOPS

I love tops that are so effortless yet still put-together. I’m drooling over this striped sleeveless top by Tinley Road:

BUY ME!

And of course, my fave J. Crew top, perfect for the beach:

GIMME THAT

4. SWEET DRESSES

I love this one from Urban Outfitters!

Lust: New Year’s Eve Style!

I can’t believe it’s almost 2012! I absolutely love New Year’s Eve. It’s the perfect night to completely overdose on glitter, sequins, and rhinestones without anyone mistaking you for a disco ball. For one night only there is no such thing as TOO MUCH! (Except for maybe too much champagne, which was certainly the case for NYE 2007.) So, New Year’s Eve is just a few days away, but in case you haven’t found a perfect outfit yet, I’ve put a few together for ya!

Lust: A Moment With Chevron

So, I’m having a big love affair with chevron print right now, and it seems I’m not the only one! I’ve seen this delightful print on everything lately, and I’m not complaining! I think it first started with the Missoni for Target debacle. You see, I, like many other women in the US, mistakenly thought I could stroll into Target at 3 in the afternoon the day the line launched, and be able to check out what they had to offer. What I found was bare shelves and empty racks accompanied by a sad feeling in my soul. Although I didn’t necessarily want anything from the line, the fact that I couldn’t have anything from the line made me kinda mad. Anyway, I’ve moved past that but the chevron love still lives on! Here are some of my favorite chevron pieces from the web! Enjoy…

Chevron Shower Curtain: $95 on Etsy

Sure, $95 may seem a lot for a shower curtain, but HOW CUTE IS IT?! And, it comes in a variety of colors, AND it’s handmade, so you’re supporting small businesses! It’s win-win.

Chevron iPhone Case: $44.95 from Zazzle

How freaking cute is this??? There are a LOT of chevron iphone cases on this site, and if you like monograms, they have some with the print and the monogram over it.

Chevron Tights: $14 from Urban Outfitters

I love a printed tight. I love it especially mixed with other prints, or with sequins. These tights would be perfect for holidays (NYE??).

Chevron Area Rug: (on sale!) 39.99-699 from West Elm

I would love this rug in my house, and I can’t imagine who wouldn’t! I think it would look fabulous with bold colored furniture.

Chevron Arrow Earrings: $24 on Etsy

um…yes.

Chevron Pillow: $29 on Etsy

So, it seems I’m having a moment with Etsy as well….but that’s okay by me!

Chevron Undies: $110 from Anthropologie

I love the vintage-meets-modern feel!

Chevron Undies Part Deux: $86 from Anthropologie

I LOVE the black and white!

Chevron Picture Frame: $28 from Anthropologie

So you can frame pictures of all the new chevron items in your home. or something…

Chevron Swimsuit: $52 from Asos

Chevron Salad Plates: $35 from Etsy

I need these in my kitchen immediately.

Chevron Stripe Light Switch Cover: $6 on Etsy

ahhhh so cute!

Chevron Duvet Cover: $69.99-$99.00 from Urban Outfitters

Chevron Chair: $279 from Urban Outfitters

So so cute!!

So….if you come to my house one day, and everything is covered in zig-zags, you’ll know why.

Send me pics of your favorite chevron items! Is anyone else having chevron craze lately? Or is it just me?

Lust: Wintry Western Wear

I am pretty cavalier when it comes to giving out my e-mail address, and I always end up receiving e-mails from all kinds of places. Well, somehow I accidentally signed up for e-mails from Style.com. Their newsletters are actually kind of awesome because they send out a great outfit or trend from time to time, and the prices are a little steep, but sometimes aren’t so bad. ANYWAYS, the point is, I found this lovely ensemble in my inbox the other day, but the prices were not so great. Here are MY picks for wintry western wear!

Lust: Ladylike Menswear

Menswear for women is probably one of my most favorite trends because men’s clothes are SO much more comfortable than women’s! Even as I’m writing this, I’m wearing tights that have a control top so aggressive that my organs are being smashed. All guys really have to do to look put together is put on a decent pair of jeans, just about any kind of shirt, some stylish shoes, and they’re good to go. So, when I saw this outfit in the J. Crew “looks we love” section, I knew I HAD to have it! This look is ultra comfy, yet still looks put together. The only problem is, the entire cost of the J. Crew outfit is $641.50. Holy crap. So, I did a little searching and found 3 different outfits that I equally love!

J. Crew outfit: $641.50

1. VS French Cuff Poplin Shirt

2. Forever 21 Soft Dolman Sweater

3. Cheap Monday Tilt Skinny Jean

Lust: Short Embellished Dress

As most of my friends know, I’ve become completely obsessed with Pinterest. So much so that I find myself referencing the site in everyday conversation (bad sign). The one thing that I find incredibly infuriating is the fact that sometimes you see things on there, and there’s no way of finding out where they came from!! One example:

I have NO idea where this gorgeous dress came from or how I can get it in my closet!! So, I desperately took to the web to see if I could find something just like it. Turns out, to get a dress this gorgeous, you also need a bigger budget…but here’s what I found!

1. Mandalay Sleeveless Lace Dress

2. TFNC Deco Embellished Chiffon Dress

3. Terani One Shoulder Beaded Short Prom Dress

4. Simply Dresses Short Beaded Sleeveless Dress

And did you notice her snake bracelet?! I found a few of those too…

1. Spring Street Design Group Snake Coil Bracelet

2. Luxe Rachel Zoe Slinky Snake Cuff Bracelet

3. Pola’s Gold Snake Bracelet

4.  Bebe Mesh Snake Clasp Bracelet

For summer: add pumps in a bright color and a clutch

For winter: add a blazer and some booties

Perfect for: cocktail parties, New Year’s Eve, or for a Vegas wedding

Lust: Navajo Print Top With Skinnies!

I am a huge fan of E!’s Chelsea Lately, and she has a great team of stylists. While watching last night’s episode, I was completely LUSTING after her cute outfit!

Well, I want that outfit for myself. So, I decided to go online and see if I couldn’t find something similar in my budget. Here are my top 3:

1. Lucca Couture Navajo Pullover Sweater

2. BDG Printed Boyfriend Shirt

3. Vero Moda Navajo Pattern Long Sleeve Dress

1. Ella Moss Ponte Knit Leggings

2. Rag & Bone Crimson Skinny Corduroy Pants

3. Gap 1969 Lightweight Corduroy Leggings

1. Maalaea Bay Velvet Wide Heel Pumps

2. Bamboo Colada 32 Blush Pink Velvet Go GaGa Platform Pumps

3. Camel Velvet Almond Shaped Toe Platform Pump Heels
